Yahweh was always portrayed as a divine warrior against chaos; Michael battles the seven-headed dragon as Yahweh would have battled Leviathan. Some rabbis have asserted that “the Angel of the Lord” (Malakh YHWH) who spoke from the Burning Bush, is synonymous with Michael, “the one who looks like God.” The truth of this can also be proved when Jude says the “Angel of the Lord” who conversed with Satan in Zechariah 3, was Michael.
